It was a period home of the 1800s and fit with the area. We enjoyed the rustic nature as that was why we went, to explore the time period and history of the area so it was fun to stay in a cottage of that period. It isn't a 5 star hotel so don't go expecting that! It had either original furniture or replica and that made it charming (except for the modern huge spa bath!). A funny moment. The kitchen-ette is well supplied but we couldn't find the plates and bowls! It took a while to realise they were in the ornamental cabinet on the wall, as they were kept in the 1800s! :) We enjoyed neighbouring towns, the Burra key was well worth it, from the info place but not cheap at $30 each. We loved the nearby mansion and maze, which is why we went. The local corner pub had the best food too! :)
