We were using Lakes Entrance as a stopover on our way to Sydney.
Very pleased with the area.
It was easy to walk around and had a good array of eating establishments - we had Fish and Chips from one of the local shops. the flathead was fresh and well cooked and the owners were very polite.
This is the case with most places.
Kudos to the Visitor Information Centre and the lady who served us

Lakes Entrance is a lovely small beach town. We were glad to see that it hasn’t become built up like other popular coastal areas. There are a few good options for food. The beach is beautiful and the coastline goes on for ages allowing you to have really lovely and Long Beach walks. There are heaps of opportunities for nature walks and a nice winery nearby. Highly recommend for a short trip!

There is heaps to do in nice weather with plenty of eateries and cafes. Beaches are great and theres many points of interest within a short enough drive of the main town such as Buchan Caves and the Metung Hot Springs and the old Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge is worth a look too. Its a very scenic place with walks aplenty and fisherman are spoilt for choice with or without a boat.

Being regular visitors to Lakes Entrance, we like to try different accommodation each time. This place has been the best so far. The views, the rooms, the amenities, the cleanliness, the privacy. Loved every bit of it. Next time we will stay longer.

We stayed in cooler weather so it is like a seaside village, not crowded (very different in the summer season). It is great for being able to enjoy the water features and birdlife and to visit nearby locations - Metung, Paynesville, and longer trips East to Buchan Caves or Cann River and all the waterways along the lakes system.

Beachcomber Units were great for a 3 night stay, hosts were very friendly. We did the Eco cruise with Lonsdale’s which was fabulous saw Sea Lions, Dolphins, Sea Eagles & lots of other birds not to mention the great Scones cooked by Mel.
